Some of you have already been playing with the dwt demo and have noticed a few new enhancements. So far, I've only had time to work on the xml/xslt views and outlines. Here's what I've added, tell me what you think:
- support for the &RestrictToCategory url argument
- ability to expand multiple categories(not working in Mozilla browsers, yet)
The expand multiple categories still needs some work but you can see what I have done so far here. Currently this only works for categorized views where their is only one category and it is the first column. I do plan on offering this functionality to other types of categorized views. However, to get multi-expand categories to work on these other types of views, other "supporting" views will need to be created by the developer, but more on this later.
Another feature that I would like to add is to give the developer the ability to "register" other url arguments that will do the same thing as the &RestrictToCategory. This will give those of you who use your own field to compute the "show single category" value the ability to use your own url argument like: &category=, &area=, &state=, &type=, etc. (you get the idea).
