Getting closer to having DWT integrated with Ext 1.0. It was a little more work than I thought it would be with all of the major changes to the new grid. But in the end, it will definitely be worth it. For instance, the Ext grid will allow for individual rows to grow based on content. To see what I mean, take a look at this.
Besides that, the new grid also has an option similar to Domino's "Extend last column to window width". You can read more about it here
As for my timing on DWT 0.3.0, I'm going to try and have it ready in the next few days, the weekend at the lastest. Once it's done, I plan to tackle categorized views and views with response docs (actually, I have a well known Domino Guru who has volunteered to take this feature on, so stayed tuned!). I also plan on setting up a way for developers to pass an array of selected documents to their own cutom defined function for processing. What else would you like to see?
Great!!! But the "quick search" features... when do you think to implement this feature ?
My compliments...
The work seems incredible to me. Of the adaptations that I know for Domino, DWT seems to me the best one and the one than better it separates each component.
At the moment I use that it loads the Grid and Outline with icons and it works perfect. I would like see some images of my work. I do not have host Domino, so I like to know your email to sent some screens.
Sorry for my english.
I can't wait to see the categorized views working.
thanks!
When arrives the first versión of dwt 0.3.0?? I can´t wait jejejej
DWT 0.3.0 should be ready by this Sunday afternoon. Besides the port from integrating with yui-ext 0.33 to Ext 1.0, I have planned at least one new feature. I hope everyone will like it. :)
Hi, Jack...
You have many developers salivating!
Could you provide a quick 1,2,3 on installing the demo and supporting files on a Dom server?
Regards,
Jordan
Jack,
OK - Got it up...
Do you have a download with sample data like your online demo? The downloaded version have a view with blank data in it... unless something else is going on. The online demo also references main.html which is not in the demo.
Thanks,
Jordan
Where is dwt 0.3.0?
Sorry for the delay. Everyone in the family voted we play Monopoly this afternoon so I caved in and did that instead of finishing up DWT 0.3.0. I'm working on finishing it up now and I should have it ready later tonight.
Monopoli was the wise decision...
Hi.
I think that writing a framework for Domino web development is a wonderful idea (Dext by Jake and DWT by Jack), athough that SHOULD be available from Lotus itself :-(
I develop web applications on Domino platform since R4.6 (I had a Perl background), and every time it is a time consuming work, it's like "painting a new picture every time".
I made some simple web tools, but now I think it's time for a nice dev framework that cut off web dev times (no reinventing the wheel, new web 2.0 techniques, etc) .
Do you know if there is also any commercial web dev framework for Lotus Domino (waiting for your free frameworks as yours) ?
Thanks again,
where is dwt 0.3.0? jejejejeje
